The LPA will anticipate, plan, and proactively meet the business needs of the attorneys and execute assignments while demonstrating a general knowledge of the assigned timekeepers’ practice areas and clients to ensure extraordinary client satisfaction.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Develop and maintain a deep understanding of department objectives, key activities, and requirements to anticipate and proactively address the needs of the team.</li><li>Perform administrative tasks for lawyers and other timekeepers requiring specialized knowledge of a practice area and an understanding of procedures with minimal supervision.</li><li>Prepare and file legal documents in State and Federal courts, including electronic filings.</li><li>Prepare other legal documents, correspondence, and binders.</li><li>Provide other administrative duties, such as managing contacts, calendars, travel, expense reports, check requisitions, and opening and closing files.</li><li>Support new client and business development efforts, including opening new matters and submitting conflict of interest checks.</li><li>Code and enter timekeeper's time and costs in the firm's time and billing systems.</li><li>Handle all tasks related to client billing to include prebills, edits/corrections, distribution and review of invoices and maintain a working knowledge of billing requirements from clients.</li><li>Partner with the Billing team to ensure client bills are processed accurately and on time.</li><li>​Handle complex tasks such as reviewing information, submissions, reports and coordinating the distribution of these and other materials.</li><li>Collaborate and liaise with resources inside and outside the firm as appropriate to coordinate all aspects of workflow support for attorneys and complete projects or tasks.</li><li>Provide overflow assistance to administrative legal support team.</li></ul> Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:<ul><li>Strong litigation knowledge, skills, and abilities, including significant Federal and State litigation experience and knowledge of local rules of courts.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of firm personnel, clients, and vendors.</li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline driven environment while working across teams.</li><li>Maintain confidentiality when handling matters for clients and other personal attorney information.</li><li>Demonstrate a "can do" attitude and a willingness to continue learning and developing skills of an independent thinker.</li><li>Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.</li></ul> Education and/or Experience: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree and/or any combination of experience, education or training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.</li><li>Minimum of five (5) years of administrative experience working in an administrative support role in a legal or professional services environment.</li><li>Experience working in Litigation required.</li></ul>#LI-OnsiteThe Firm will comply with any applicable city or state workplace mandates in effect in regards to Covid-19. This position description is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of the job.  The statements contained in the position description are not necessarily all-inclusive and additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as determined by business needs.This position description does not constitute a written or implied contract of employment.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.By applying for this position, you agree and understand that Troutman Pepper Locke will process your Personal Information pursuant to the terms of our Worker and Applicant Global Privacy Notice. As a member of the IP group's litigation team, the paralegal will manage all aspects of litigation case management, handling a comprehensive range of paralegal tasks from the beginning of a case to its conclusion. The paralegal will exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality in all interactions with clients, attorneys, and staff. An annual billing requirement of 1500 hours is expected for this position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Serve as IP paralegal on complex litigation cases, providing guidance and mentorship to junior paralegals as necessary.</li><li>Navigate electronic court systems, including the U.S. District Court and the International Trade Commission (ITC), ensuring compliance with local rules and procedures for various courts and government agencies.
