Job Description JOB DETAILS Shift: 1st Shift 8:00am - 4:30pm(or until all trucks are finished) Monday through Friday (weekends based on business needs) Base Pay: $20.00 per hour DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Shipping Loader is responsible for loading and unloading of company vehicles in accordance with quality, quantity, and safety standards. Works with the other members of the department to achieve company goals <ul><li>Receives directions from the Shipping Supervisor, Lead, or Cell Lead, and also notifies them when more work is needed </li><li>Rotates functions within the department as needed and assigned by Shipping Supervisor/Group Leader </li><li>Works as a contributing member of the department team </li><li>Performs all functions according to sound safety principles and company policies and procedures </li><li>Notifies Supervisor/Group Leader of any existing or potential safety issues </li><li>Reviews the load sheets and pulls product for the specific route. Loads and unloads trucks making sure to always secure the load </li><li>Safety and accurately stages finish goods in warehouse </li><li>Completes all necessary paperwork and documentation neatly, timely, and accurately including quality reports, timecards, etc </li><li>Maintains good housekeeping in the department </li><li>Monitors product constantly to assure quality standards are being met, and notifies Group Leader whenever product appears to not meet quality standards </li><li>Assembles shipping crates and prepares common carrier shipments as directed, taking care to package product to effectively guard against shipping damage </li><li>All other duties as assigned </li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>Proven time management skills with the ability to respond to time-critical issues, and work overtime as needed to meet deadlines </li><li>Excellent work ethic - ability to work self-directed and as a flexible team player </li><li>Ability to adapt to change in a dynamic and fast paced environment </li><li>Comfortable using a PC with computer software packages, including Microsoft Office </li><li>Able to deal effectively with various personality types and cultures </li><li>Must be authorized to work in the U.S. </li><li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
