Ensures facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe, and clean condition Maintains the integrity of building systems and equipment by performing general mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs, clearing of drain line blockages, and conducting general building repairs to doors, hardware, painting, furniture; oversees work performed by 3rd party vendors when repairs must be outsourced Maintains organization of all maintenance-related areas of the facility including tools, equipment, storage areas; mechanical rooms; and rooftops Prioritizes and responds to all campus-related service requests submitted through a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) Performs and documents regular inspections of facility function and systems Performs other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Engineering Technology, Mechanical, Industrial, or Structural Construction or Facilities Management Mechanically inclined such as metalworking, creative solutions, etc. Job Overview Under general supervision, the Building Maintenance Technician performs a variety of custodial tasks and repairs related to corporate facilities maintenance, including preventative systems and equipment maintenance, lighting maintenance, breakroom, bathroom equipment, fixtures, door hardware, and a variety of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks.
