<div><p>JOB DESCRIPTION:</p><p>The Mammography Technologist demonstrates progressive knowledge and sense of responsibility in the daily operations of the mammography department. Must meet all initial and continuing requirements in training, experience and education in digital mammography and breast tomosynthesis as defined and outline by FDA and ACR, in accordance with MQSA guidelines. Required to complete and pass all mammography competencies prior to working independently and agree to take the ARRT mammography boards within one year of start date. All technologist(s) must perform weekly quality control as required by the FDA and ACR. Is able to proficiently perform routine and diagnostic mammography exams on all equipment at each campus and may need to perform other mammography guided procedures according to established practices under the direction of a radiologist, supervisor and/or lead technologist. May be required to work a variety of shifts to include evenings, weekends and holidays at multiple campuses and cover on call duties as needed or assigned.</p><p>EDUCATION:</p><p>Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT. Experience and current certification in multiple modalities preferred.  If you are a Rad Tech and are interested in living and working in Middlebury, VT - we hope you'll apply today. </b></p></div><div><div><p><b><b>ABOUT RADIOLOGY AT PORTER MEDICAL CENTER:</b></b><br/>The Radiology Department performs 25,000 imaging exams annually using CT Philips ingenuity 64 slice CT scanner, MRI, ultrasound, and Hologic 3D for mammography.  CT and general x-ray services are available 24/7, with ultrasound and MRI performed on weekdays with weekend ultrasound call coverage.  </p></div><div><p><b><b>JOB DESCRIPTION: </b></b></p></div><div><p>Seeking experienced Rad Tech with excellent customer service skills. Cross training into other modalities and certification (based on Radiology Department needs) is required, and current mammo or CT certification strongly preferred. The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing routine, trauma, intraoperative, radiological imaging. </p><p>In addition to competitive pay, this position is eligible for the following differentials:  </p><p>Evening $3/hour</p><p>Night $5/hour</p><p>Weekend $2/hour (in addition to any applicable Evening or Night differentials)   </p></div><div><p><b><b>JOB QUALIFICATIONS:</b></b></p></div><div><p>Satisfactory completion of a formal radiological technology program in a CAHEA approved school and certification by the ARRT or its equivalent. </p><p>Current Vermont unrestricted State license to practice radiologic technology. </p><p>Demonstrated competence as a licensed professional by maintaining professional growth and development to keep abreast in Radiology Tech field. </p><p>Maintains certification in Tech’s special modality. </p><p>CT and/or Mammography certification strongly preferred. </p><p><b>SCHEDULE:</b></p><p>Depending on certifications, the schedule may vary. Historically, this role has worked four 10-hour shifts in one week and three 12-hour shifts in the alternate week. If certified in mammo or CT, the schedule would likely include evening hours. If CT certified, overnight shifts may be needed for vacation coverage. Department schedule needs and personal preferences can be discussed in an interview. While participation in a weekend shift rotation is not required at this time, participation in a weekend shift rotation may be required in the future if the need arises.<br/><br/>If CT-certified, the call rotation is every sixth weekend for back-up coverage with a one-hour response time.</p></div><p>  </p></div><p><b><b>EMPLOYMENT BONUS & RELOCATION ELIGIBLE!</b></b></p><div><div><p>An employment bonus ranging between $6,000 and $15,000 (subject to applicable taxes, paid out in three payments) is available for this position!
