What you will be doing: <ul><li>Assist Quality Engineers and Associate Quality Engineers in coordinating and implementing quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and minimize cost</li><li>Coordinate with Test engineer to perform the test inspections.</li><li>Perform audits on test fuel, coolant, oil filtration systems and make sure quality meets the standards.</li><li>Analyze/Validate the test data and process quality check sheets.</li><li>Process Test Deviations on Quality issues</li><li>Support Military inspections and complete the required paperwork to ship the engine.</li><li>Support Tool and Gauge calibration. Improve, audit calibration processes for efficiency.</li><li>Perform audits on Paint, tools, Final and Preventative maintenance.</li><li>Investigate line calls with assisting in the determination of root cause</li><li>Assist in OPTICS audit verifying effective and repeatable corrective measures.</li><li>Support monthly military customer onsite and offsite audits. </li><li>Provide accurate and timely data to the quality department regarding quality concerns</li><li>Assist in the monitoring of the calibration program through inspection of gauges and measuring equipment </li><li>Keep quality abreast of progress, developments & pending problems</li><li>Implement and ensures good health and safety practices are followed</li><li>Assist in developing and implementing quality audits of production and operations</li><li>Implement good housekeeping practices</li><li>Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.</li></ul> Who we're looking for: At Rolls-Royce we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. Position Requirements: <ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of experience in quality, industrial or manufacturing processes</li><li>Ability to work flexible hours or shifts </li><li>This position has a compressed work schedule that requires four (4) ten (10) hour days during a work week (Sunday through Wednesday). </li><li>Shift Hours: 7:30 pm - 6:00 am </li><li>"Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S without sponsorship. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time."</li></ul> Preferred Requirements: <ul><li>Knowledge of the practical application of manufacturing process and engine technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the production of internal combustion engines. </li><li>Knowledge of the dynamic performance requirements, test setup and monitoring, and problem resolution of internal combustion engines</li><li>Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface effectively at all levels of the organization </li><li>Good written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Basic knowledge of geometric tolerating and related gauge</li><li>Proficient with PC and MS Office Suite</li><li>Self-starter possessing strong initiative and teamwork</li><li>Familiar with plant operations and equipment </li><li>Knowledge of MTU components and products </li><li>Strong knowledge of internal combustion engine performance requirements </li><li>Working knowledge of gauge and test equipment</li></ul> Work Conditions: While performing tasks for this position, the employee is regularly requested to perform work on a computer inside and outside of the work environment. Also, the employee will be occasionally requested to come in contact with wet environmental conditions. Finally, the employee will frequently hear noise while performing task in the work environment. While performing physical demands of the position, regularly the employee will be requested to stand, sit, walk, climb and stoop. However, the employee will frequently be requested to balance, kneel, crouch, reach, and squat. Finally, an employee will be frequently requested to grasp and manipulate items in a maneuverable manner to perform daily tasks.
