Job DescriptionUnder the general direction of the Chief Probation Officer (CPO), the Chief Deputy Adult Probation Officer (CDAPO) at the San Francisco Adult Probation Department (SFAPD), demonstrates a high level of leadership, enthusiasm, professionalism, and autonomy to organize, plan, and manage the day-to-day activities of the Adult Probation Department and ensures that the activities and personnel of the department comply with departmental policies, methods, and procedures. Possession of a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Criminology, Corrections, Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related field, i.e. Juris Doctorate (JD).Five (5) years of full-time (or the equivalent of full-time) supervisory experience in field services, institutional work, related special programs in a California County Probation Department or California Corrections Facility, government agency, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
