Job SummaryThe Part-Time Package Handler will load, unload, and sort freight accurately and in a timely manner to ensure quick delivery. Hours and Wages<ul><li>Tuesday-Saturday, 5:30AM start</li><li>$18.00-20.00 per hour, based on experience </li></ul>Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li style="line-height:115%">Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles</li><li style="line-height:115%">Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes</li><li style="line-height:115%">Sort each package by zip code, city, or state</li><li style="line-height:115%">Stack freight into trailers and routes in a manner to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently </li><li style="line-height:115%">Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image, as needed</li><li style="line-height:115%">Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul>Skills and Abilities<ul><li>Excellent verbal communication skills</li><li>Efficient time management skills</li><li>Excellent organization skills and attention to detail</li><li>Ability to read labels at a fast pace and work independently</li></ul>Education and Experience<ul><li>At least 16 years of age</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred</li></ul>Physical Requirements<ul><li>Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally</li><li>Ability to work with all types to freight which include, but are not limited to hazardous material, perishable food and alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals</li></ul>Benefits<ul><li>401(k) Plan</li></ul>EEO and Affirmative Action StatementSpee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
