Knowledge of: County policies and procedures; Fleet Management principles and methods, including preventive maintenance, purchasing, inventory management, lifecycle costing and total cost of ownership; principles, methods, and practices in equipment maintenance, repairs, adjustments, rebuilds, and fabrications; procurement policies, processes, and collective purchasing organizations; environmental laws and regulations including emissions and hazardous waste disposal; occupational hazards and safety precautions, CPR and first aid; safe work practices, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment; applicable laws and regulatory codes; principles and practices of leadership, supervision, training, empowering, and preparing performance evaluation(s) of subordinates; principles and practices of budgeting, purchasing, and maintenance of public records; fleet management software and MS Office applications.
