Under the direct supervision of the Practice Manager, greet patients, answer phones, schedule appointments, check-in and discharge patients, collect copays and payments, and perform various clerical duties. Montage Medical Group operates multiple locations across the Monterey Peninsula. This role may be based at any of our clinic sites, including Monterey, Carmel, and Marina. Essential Duties and Responsibilities <ul><li>Greet and check-in patients, using the physician practice management software for scheduling, billing and collection. </li><li>Obtain patient demographic and other information; accurately enter into electronic medical record and practice management system. </li><li>Verify demographic and insurance information for all patients. </li><li>Assist medical and clinic staff with urgent patient needs. </li><li>Explain payment policies and expedite rooming patients in exam rooms and treatment areas. </li><li>Collect patient co-pays, deductibles and payment for services, strictly following the medical group's payment policies. </li><li>Enter correct and accurate information into the electronic medical record and practice management system. </li><li>Schedule patients appropriately following scheduling guidelines. </li><li>Answer phones quickly (by second ring) and courteously, using approved telephone techniques and etiquette. </li><li>Telephone skills must be exceptional </li><li>Other duties detailed in attached job description. </li></ul>Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
