Description Summary:With minimum supervision, the Multi-Modality Technologist will competently function in two (2) or more modalities within the Imaging Department. This can include Diagnostic Radiology, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Special Procedures, Nuclear Medicine, or Mammography. Performs various technical procedures requiring independent judgment and is responsible for designated areas or procedures as needed or assigned in two (2) or more modalities.Responsibilities:<ul><li>Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.</li><li>Performs a variety of diagnostic procedures, some of a more complex nature, utilizing state-of-the-art computerized imaging equipment in more than one (1) modality.</li><li>Requires flexibility to work competently within assigned modalities as needed or assigned. </li><li>Interacts appropriately with patients and all care providers by coordinating and prioritizing procedures during the workday to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity. </li><li>Possesses the ability and willingness to rotate within departments and clinics for proper coverage as needed or assigned. </li><li>Upon completion of procedures, program the computer to ensure completion of the exam and all scan data is correctly stored in PACS. </li><li>Ensures exam rooms are neat, clean, and adequately stocked before exams are performed and acts to ensure compliance with Infection Control standards. </li><li>Coordinates and prioritizes procedures during the workday to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity. </li><li>Ensures all charges are correctly coded and entered in the billing system.</li><li>Performs all duties in a manner that protects the confidentiality of patients and does not solicit or disclose any confidential information unless necessary in the performance of assigned job duties. </li><li>Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.</li><li>Excellent customer service skills required. </li><li>Adapt assigned patient assessment, treatment, and/or care methods to accommodate the unique physical, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual, age-specific, and other developmental needs of each patient served.</li><li>Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards as outlined by State and Federal agencies, the hospital, and other regulatory entities.</li><li>Demonstrates adherence to the Core values of CHRISTUS Health</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Job Requirements:Education/Skills<ul><li> Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or other accepted and approved equivalent required</li></ul>Experience<ul><li>1 year of experience in a medical setting required.</li><li>Basic computer experience required.</li><li>Excellent customer service experience required.</li></ul>Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications<ul><li>One of the following primary modality registries/certifications (active) is required:</li></ul><ol><li>Radiography (R) (ARRT)</li><li>Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) (ARRT or NMTCB)</li><li>Sonography (S) (ARRT or ARDMS)</li></ol><ul><li>One of the following post primary modality registries/certifications (active) is required:</li></ul><ol><li>Mammography (M) (ARRT)</li><li>CT (ARRT)</li><li>MRI (ARRT)</li><li>Bone Densitometry (BD) (ARRT)</li><li>Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) (ARRT)</li><li>Breast Sonography (ARRT)</li><li>Vascular Sonography (VS) (ARRT)</li></ol><ul><li>State Licensure required based on modality</li></ul><ol><li>Texas: MRT by TMB</li><li>Louisiana: LRT (R), (N), or (F) by LSRTBE</li><li>New Mexico: RRT, DMS, NMT, CT, FUS, MRT, or VS by MIRTP NMED</li></ol><ul><li>BLS required</li></ul>Work Schedule: TBDWork Type: Per Diem As NeededEEO is the law - click below for more information: <a href="https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/2023-06/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12ScreenRdr.pdf" rel="nofollow">https://www.eeoc.gov/sites/default/files/2023-06/22-088_EEOC_KnowYourRights6.12ScreenRdr.pdf</a>We endeavor to make this site accessible to any and all users.
