Overview:
Join our team at BrightView Health as a Medical Assistant and contribute to providing high-quality patient care by following established treatment program policies and procedures. As a Medical Assistant, you will adhere to current medical standards and practices while utilizing your medical skills for planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for performing laboratory procedures in accordance with best practices, all under appropriate supervision.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>PATIENT CARE:<ul><li>Complete patient vital signs, TB testing, and blood draws.</li><li>Facilitate timely and efficient patient flow for the duration of their visit.</li><li>Perform administrative duties to support patient flow as assigned.</li><li>Prepare specimens for shipping.</li><li>Maintain appropriate inventory of laboratory supplies and a sanitary, organized work environment.</li><li>Provide input on overall treatment philosophy, treatment services, and patient care.</li></ul></li><li>COORDINATION AND COMMUNICATION:<ul><li>Communicate with various teams regarding patient appointments.</li><li>Attend required meetings/huddles and collaboration within center team.</li><li>Consult team members on lab testing, results, and patient issues.</li></ul></li><li>DOCUMENTATION AND COMPLIANCE:<ul><li>Ensure timely and accurate collection of laboratory specimens consistent with federal and state regulations.</li><li>Timely review, posting, and dissemination of laboratory results.</li><li>Complete timely and comprehensive documentation into the Electronic Medical Records (EMR).</li><li>Maintain new and existing patient accounts, including insurance and billing information.</li></ul></li></ul> KNOWLEDGE SKILLS, AND ABILITIES<ul><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Highly empathetic and compassionate to effectively support the recovery journey of BrightView’s patients</li><li>Competent at working with a diverse population of colleagues and patients</li><li>Natural problem solver, looks for solutions to best meet patient needs with a sense of urgency</li><li>Team-player, able to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment</li><li>Adaptable and agile within a dynamic work environment</li><li>Technologically capable, comfortable operating in multiple systems for communication and documentation purposes. A Day In The Life Of :
 <ul><li>Process vendor invoices and credit memos with accurate general ledger account coding and route for approval</li><li>Review credit card transactions for proper general ledger account coding and sync to Sage Intacct.</li><li>Sort daily mail and assist vendors in transitioning to electronic invoicing.</li><li>Pay bills weekly using Bill.com.</li><li>Monitor invoice status and work with office managers to resolve outstanding items, including uncashed checks.</li><li>Reconcile monthly vendor statements.</li><li>Provide weekly AP updates to team leaders.</li><li>Handle all vendor inquiries regarding payments and escalate issues when needed.</li><li>Help convert vendors to electronic payment options.</li><li>Collaborate with internal departments on invoice questions.</li><li>Support the Accounting Manager with various projects as needed.</li></ul>

What You'll Bring To The Table :
