This is a distinctive leadership opportunity for an individual with a strong record in benign hematology clinical care and research to build and direct a comprehensive clinical research program addressing non-malignant blood disorders with a focus on coagulation, bleeding and thrombosis, leveraging Mount Sinai's excellence in clinical care as an HHS-funded Hemophilia Treatment Center, and complementing existing NIH-funded clinical and translational research programs in sickle cell disease, iron disorders, myeloproliferative disorders, and graft-vs-host disease. We are consistently ranked by U.S. News & World Report's Best Hospitals, receiving high "Honor Roll" status, and are highly ranked: No. 1 in Geriatrics, top 5 in Cardiology/Heart Surgery, and top 20 in Diabetes/Endocrinology, Gastroenterology/GI Surgery, Neurology/Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Pulmonology/Lung Surgery, Rehabilitation, and Urology.
