p>Physician for Women‘s Health (PWH), a proud affiliate of Women‘s Health Connecticut, is comprised of Physicians who demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide obstetrical and gynecological care, appropriate to the age of the patients served.
Outcome-Oriented Approach: Focuses on achieving key health outcomes, such as improved care adherence, reduction in emergency room visits, and enhanced self-management. By building relationships, coordinating care, and providing education, the Care Specialist plays a critical role in promoting health, preventing unnecessary hospitalizations, and improving patient outcomes.

Clinical responsibilities include conducting routine examinations, managing acute and chronic pediatric conditions, and maintaining accurate medical records with support from medical assistants, patient service representatives, and licensed practical nurses. The facility maintains a structured environment with dedicated support staff including medical assistants, patient service representatives, and licensed practical nurses to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care delivery.
Hiring Qualifications Capabilities and Experience (can do) Ability to multi-task - Manages multiple tasks at one time; quickly and accurately shifts attention among multiple tasks under distracting conditions without loss of accuracy or appearance of frustration. Continuing Education Resources: Access to VetFolio for online CE courses, webinars, and conference proceedings from NAVC and AAHA, as well as access to the MVH Medical Library which provides access to 2000 university-equivalent journals, 600 textbooks, and biomedical databases.
p>FIELD REPRESENTATIVE:
Assists in maintaining a file of medical records such as daily admissions and discharges, daily census, case histories, results of diagnostic tests, signed releases of information, medical summaries and abstracts; Inspects reports and records for omissions and errors; Codes and files a full range of diagnoses according to anatomical systems and in conformance with accepted international classification systems (i.e. ICD, WHO, DSM3, DRG, etc.); Prepares statistical reports on such matters as classification of disease, laboratory, dental, X-ray and physiotherapy activities; Prepares death certificates, burial permits and other related records; Prepares reports to state and federal agencies as required; May attend probate court hearings and give testimony; Performs related duties as required. Function as part of the Medical Records unit that collates and files all documentation for more than 1,800 behavioral medical records across two building s and eight teams, and 16 inpatient charts; Create new medical records for admissions and archives records for discharges; Examine records for completeness; Work with multiple electronic systems to ensure data matches the content of the legal medical records; Prepare records for off-site storage at the State Library and request medical records from and returns records to the State Library, as needed; Process releases of information and subpoenas under the direction of the Medical Records Department Supervisor; Participate in unit, division, and full-staff meetings; and.
