Key Responsibilities Provide individualized lactation consultations to patients in hospitals, clinics, or home settings Assess and address breastfeeding challenges such as latch issues, milk supply, nipple pain, and infant weight gain Educate families on breastfeeding techniques, pumping, milk storage, and feeding plans Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, and dietitians to ensure coordinated care Document patient interactions and progress in medical records Lead breastfeeding classes and support groups as needed Stay current with best practices and research in lactation and maternal-child health Advocate for breastfeeding-friendly policies and environments within the organization Qualifications Education/ Qualifications: BSN required Certification as an International Board of Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) from International Board of Lactation Consultation Examiners (IBCLE) is required. Operating acute care hospitals, behavioral health facilities, outpatient facilities and ambulatory care access points, an insurance offering, a physician network, and various related services located all over the U.S. States, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom.
