Job Purpose: The Youth Leadership Coordinator will oversee the Nā Leo o Kamakaʻeha cohorts, working closely with the Youth Leadership Manager to establish a vision and strategy for the development of youth leadership programming, a newly launched initiative focused on individuals aged 16-26. Travel Requirements: In alignment with our organizational competencies of Alu Like I ka Hana (Teamwork) and Ho`omau i ka ` imi Na`auao (Continuous Learning and Improvement), this position will require occasional travel across the island, inter-island, and out-of-state depending on the needs of the team and the organization.

The Auwai Youth Empowerment Coordinator will demonstrate leadership at a very high level to develop and implement a successful Auwai social enterprise edu-preneurial pathway that grounds youth in their community through the provision of training in culturally and communally relevant enterprises while matriculating youth toward their higher education goals. To fulfill the organizational objective of youth empowerment within the context of a highly challenged and under-resourced education, health, and economic system, the Auwai Youth Empowerment Coordinator (YEC) supports youth participating in the Auwai High School to College to Workforce Youth Leadership Training programs.
