As we expand our impact, we are seeking dedicated individuals to join our team. <h3>The Role</h3>The Survivor Mentor provides essential direct services to individuals impacted by sex trafficking and commercial sexual exploitation. In this role, you will act as a primary point of contact and a bridge to recovery, utilizing both professional training and lived-experience expertise to guide victims through the healing process.Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul style="list-style-type:circle"><li>When on call, participates in 24/7 availability for crisis intervention; (2.5%)</li><li>Uses lived experience to evaluate a victim’s situation, and provides and/or ensures support for immediate health and safety services such as crisis intervention; accompaniment to hospitals for medical examinations; the need for emergency clothing, housing, etc; (30%)</li><li>Uses established More Too Life guidelines to assess victim’s needs; (5%) </li><li>Develops in-depth knowledge of the services and benefits available to victims in the assigned region and how to verify victim’s eligibility for those services/benefits; (5%)</li><li>Uses the victim’s needs assessment, the victim’s eligibility for services/benefits, and other aspects of the individual’s situation to assist in the development of a wellness plan that ensures both short term and longer term needs of the victim are addressed effectively.
