Position SummaryReporting to the Chief Technology Officer the Senior Project Engineer will coordinate and execute construction projects in the organization. Working day to day with the EPCM firm the Senior Project Engineer will be the first point of contact for the company to our third-party service providers. Another aspect of the job is to evaluate and assist in supervising the plant operations once construction is complete.Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>Executes site searches for future projects and evaluates site viability for project needs</li><li>Manages permitting and construction of a pilot plant facility.</li><li>Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements.</li><li>Executes project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.</li><li>Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases and elements, assigning personnel to phases and elements, and reviewing bids from contractors.</li><li>Completes technical studies and prepares cost estimates.</li><li>Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.</li><li>Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications, calculating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.</li><li>Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress, coordinating activities, and resolving problems.</li><li>Controls project plan by reviewing design, specifications, and plan, scheduling changes, and recommending actions.</li><li>Controls project costs by analyzing quotes and timesheets and provides guidance to the management and contracts team.</li><li>Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.</li><li>Maintains safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.</li><li>Maintains company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.</li><li>Works with the Operational Readiness team to ensure a safe hand off to operations</li><li>Once operational, the position will switch to the following:<ul><li>Attend daily operations meetings</li><li>Plan and execute preventative maintenance</li><li>Review plant data</li><li>Being preparing future engineering studies for expansion</li></ul></li></ul> Education & Experience<ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Process Engineering; PMP Designation is an asset</li><li>Registered (or the ability to register) Professional Engineer in the state of Nevada</li><li>A minimum of 7 years of project engineering and project management experience, ideally in metallurgical processing projects</li><li>Strong background in construction safety management</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Strong supervisory and leadership skills.</li><li>Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.</li><li>Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Project and other project related software.</li></ul>

<h3>Job Description</h3><h2>Overview</h2>We are currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Global Minerals & Metals (M&M) team and to support our growth to align with the demand to supply responsibly sourced critical minerals. The Electrical Engineer will support all Electrical activities during a mineral process plant design in all phases of a project execution.This role will be based in the US to support the growth of our M&M business and will be located in Henderson, NV.AtkinsRéalis’s Minerals and Metals team is made up of more than 400 employees who work on large-scale projects to support mining sustainability, pit-to-port opportunities, metallurgical plant engineering, or mine closure and capabilities in the study, design, and construction of mining projects across a wide range of mining and processing methods and commodities.<h2>Your role</h2><ul><li>Provide electrical systems design leadership and project management for design mandates throughout the project lifecycle including Field Engineering.</li><li>Review, understand and clearly communicate all relevant client requirements, provide design options and recommendations to meet those requirements.</li><li>Lead and participate in site surveys of existing electrical systems.</li><li>Lead and actively participate in, and document, meetings with clients, contractors, and other consultants.</li><li>Review tender submissions and quotations from contractors.</li><li>Work with contractors to quickly resolve onsite issues and ensure contractor’s conformance to design requirements.</li><li>Prepare design briefs, schematics, project documents and perform all required engineering calculations.  </li></ul><h2>About you</h2><ul><li>The candidate must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) designation in the US and have relevant experience in mining and mineral processing facilities, including the design and integration of E-Houses, medium- and low-voltage (MV/LV) switchgear, and Motor Control Centers (MCCs).</li><li>A minimum of 7 years of experience in power system design is required, covering medium- and low-voltage distribution systems, protection and control schemes, grounding systems, and arc flash mitigation strategies. Proficiency in engineering tools such as ETAP, SKM, and AutoCAD Electrical is essential.</li><li>Having knowledge of high voltage electrical systems, substation equipment (apparatus, protection and control) as well as distribution.</li><li>Strong understanding of applicable standards and codes, including the NEC/NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) and IEEE standards, as well as mining-specific safety and electrical regulations</li><li>The candidate must be able to apply these standards effectively in hazardous or high-load operating conditions.</li><li>Experience leading multidisciplinary coordination efforts among electrical, mechanical, and automation teams.</li><li>The candidate should be capable of producing detailed and complete design packages, including single-line diagrams, cable schedules, load lists, and equipment specifications.  </li></ul><h2>Rewards & benefits</h2>At AtkinsRéalis, our values—Safety, Integrity, Collaboration, Innovation, and Excellence—are more than just words.
