Responsibilities may include production planning support, hardware progressing, work-order scheduling, material and component research, repair-kit development, technical drawing-package support, data analysis, equipment-status tracking, and coordination of hardware movement through Government shops. The Engineering Technician III receives initial task direction and consults a supervisor, engineer, or other technical authority when unfamiliar conditions exceed established guidance.
