Responsibilities: • Implement complex system models integrating mechanical, thermal, chemical, and control theories in custom software • Design and implement control algorithms that optimize plant operations • Own and maintain controls-plant model software in the loop tests • Navigate cross-functional engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions • Integrate live factory data into models to detect equipment anomalies • Optimize plant efficiency through modeling support • Apply knowledge of motors, pumps, sensors, actuators, and thermodynamic systems to accurately model plant behavior • Design high-level control strategies informed by simulation and data analytics. Youll apply first-principles modeling in custom software to create plant-scale models that maximize efficiency, detect equipment failures, and power soft sensors.
