Description: JOB SUMMARY: Restaurant/banquet servers are responsible for positive Guest interactions while serving Guests in a friendly and efficient manner and play an integral role in ensuring customers have exceptional dining experiences. At all times, servers are expected to be attentive to our Guests' needs, making them feel welcome, comfortable, important, and relaxed. This position requires a person passionate about food and service and thoroughly enjoy creating excellent experiences for our customers. The ideal candidate will have a friendly, outgoing disposition and pervious experience working as a server in a fast-paced restaurant setting with banquets. KEY PERFORMANCE ELEMENTS AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Responsible for displaying our Core Values & Discipline • Monitors and maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of all back of house areas, front of house areas and equipment • Resolves guest complaints to the best of ability to ensure a flawless recovery to build brand loyalty • Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each customer and maintain a safe environment by identifying problem clients and taking information to the Shift Supervisor on duty • Keep dining area clean, safe and organized • Proper cash handling procedures • Efficient work pace that keeps customers in the dining room satisfied at all times • Provide a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons • Obtain a valid TABC certification and a Nueces County Food Handlers Permit at all times • Ensures compliance with operational standards • Completes all job duties assigned by members of the Management team • Follow established recipes and plating requirements as set by management • Ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored and safely used • Capable of effectively and calmly communicating with co-workers and or management regarding instructions, needs and or conflicts, and work in a fast-paced sometimes highly stressed environment. • Must be mentally alert and capable of remembering names, faces, details regarding job tasks and food orders and verbal instruction. The weight ranges are between 10-100 lbs with or without assistance. • Pushes/pulls and maneuvers food items, objects or materials of varying weights depending on specific position as discussed with immediate supervisor. The weight ranges are between 10-150 with and without assistance. • Frequently bends, stoops, twists, performs rotating motions and reaches down, out and overhead as needed in performance of job duties specific to the position as discussed with the immediate supervisor. • In accordance with requirements of specific duties as discussed with the immediate supervisor, constantly uses hand and fingers to hold and handle objects and equipment required to perform duties. • Must have corrected vision to be aware of surroundings and location of items needed to perform tasks, and to perform various job duties. • Must have corrected hearing to listen to the needs and advice from customers, managers and co-workers, and the environment to be aware of surroundings. • Has sufficient mobility to move and/or operate in work area. • Can stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods up to 10 hours at a time. • Required minimum two years' experience in a full-service customer service environment • Excellent guest service skills
