Job Title:  Protestant Music DirectorLocation: Tyndall AFB, FL 32403Duties:<ul><li style="margin-left:32px">Provides music activities for the Tyndall Air Force Base Protestant Community.</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Provide musical directorship and instrument accompaniment for the Protestant Service at Tyndall AFB Chapel which is currently held on Sundays at 11:00 am.</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Provide musical directorship for a minimum of 1 rehearsal and 1 worship service each week.</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Follow the direction of Chaplain and direct Protestant Service Music Accompanist for musical selection.</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Lead the praise team and congregation in worship and vocally lead them as required by the Chaplain.</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the beginning of worship services and special services, and 15 minutes prior to the beginning of each rehearsal.</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Recruit and coordinate volunteers within the music program.</li></ul>Qualification: <ul><li style="margin-left:32px">Have 3 or more years of college in music (or related field), or equivalent years of related experience in a chapel/church setting and have an extensive knowledge of Protestant Faith traditions.</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Be able to sing and vocally lead congregation in worship.</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Be able to plan organize and lead a Protestant style praise team.</li><li style="margin-left:32px">Be able to sight read, arrange, improve, play, and score music.</li><li class="Default" style="margin-left:32px">Be able to play the piano and/or guitar for practice and worship services. </li><li class="Default" style="margin-left:32px">Sing music in keeping with a Protestant style, music service.</li><li class="Default" style="margin-left:32px">Possess the ability to develop and maintain a healthy and positive relationship with volunteers, parishioners, and staff.</li></ul>Powered by JazzHR
