The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality, client-centered music therapy, supporting individuals with disabilities, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to achieve desired therapeutic outcomes. Key Responsibilities: <ul><li>Provide individual and group therapeutic music sessions in client’s home and community settings.</li><li>Maintain reliable transportation to travel to client locations.</li><li>Assess new clients through observation, interviews, and collaboration with clients and their support teams.</li><li>Request desired units for therapy services and submit outcomes to case managers and teams.</li><li>Set and adjust schedules based on unit allotment, ensuring timely and effective services.</li><li>Collect and maintain necessary documentation including ISP, Intake Applications, and Assessments.</li><li>Continuously review and maintain current ISP, Quarterly Reports, and stay informed on clients' medical needs and risks.</li><li>Write, review, and revise therapeutic outcomes and goals based on client needs and progress.</li><li>Complete quarterly reports, include progress toward and revision of goals, observations and client participation, upload to BDDS</li><li>Make necessary accommodations for individual needs, such as communication, choice-making, and activity schedules.</li><li>Document observations, participation, progress, and client reactions after each session, ensuring accurate and timely progress notes.</li><li>Track therapy units and adjust schedules to ensure proper usage, preventing overages or underutilization.</li><li>Regularly collaborate with clients’ support teams, sharing feedback and updates on therapy progress and concerns.</li><li>Maintain MT-BC (Music Therapy-Board Certification) by engaging in continuing education, conferences, and staying informed about community and therapeutic resources. </li></ul> Qualifications: <ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Music Therapy or a related field.</li><li>Active Music Therapist – (MT-BC) credentials. </li></ul> Preferred: <ul><li>Familiarity with the Individualized Service Plan (ISP) and Behavior Support Plan (BSP) documentation and review processes.</li><li>Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, demonstrating a strong understanding of their needs and abilities.</li><li>Ability to work independently, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams. </li></ul> Compensation: <ul><li>$46 per hour</li></ul>Benefits:  <ul><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Full-Time or Part-Time options available</li><li>Office/clinic space available</li><li>Mentoring/supervision available</li><li>Employee/Contractor options available</li><li>Instruments available for Music Therapists to check out to use. </li></ul> How to Apply: Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume, MT-BC certification, and a cover letter detailing their experience working with individuals with disabilities and music therapy practice. Vision (100% paid by LittleStar)</li><li>Nine paid holidays</li><li>401k with up to 4% company match</li><li>Paid travel time and mileage</li><li>Recertification cost paid by LittleStar</li></ul>Condition of Employment <ul><li class="Body" style="margin-left:8px;text-align:justify">Must successfully pass the initial and updated criminal history, background, and record checks, which includes driving history checks.    </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px">Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), as provided by LittleStar, where physical distance cannot be attained as needed. </li><li style="margin-bottom:11px;margin-left:8px">Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. </li></ul>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Conducts music therapy assessment to determine appropriate goals to be listed on the PCISP.</li><li>Creates and implements approved treatment plan based on music therapy assessment.</li><li>Tracks data per session and reports progress on quarterly reports submitted to the treatment team.</li><li>Implements appropriate response to high-risk areas as outlined in each individual’s high-risk plan. </li><li>Completes and submits client billing as directed and in a timely manner.</li><li>Completes and submits additional paperwork in a timely manner (time clock exception forms, incident reports, temperature tracking forms, etc.).</li><li>Communicates with clients' families regarding services.</li><li>Communicates with Waiver Services Director regarding all developments, problems, or concerns as needed and requests feedback.</li><li>Attends and participates in team meetings for clients on caseload.</li><li>Maintains client and family confidentiality per LittleStar policy and HIPAA Privacy Rule Regulations.</li></ul>Educational Qualifications and Skills.  <ul><li>Hold a minimum bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in music therapy.</li><li>Hold MT-BC certification designated by the Certification Board of Music Therapists.</li><li>Must possess or be able to obtain CPR and First aid certification annually and perform, as necessary.  </li><li>Possess and maintain a clear criminal record per Medicaid Waiver regulation requirements.</li><li>Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. </li><li>A positive team player and energetic professional.</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills along with the ability to manage multiple tasks. </li><li>Good judgment and creative thinking skills. </li><li>Be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.</li></ul>Work EnvironmentThis position will work in a professional office setting.
