We offer:<ul><li>Competitive pay: Starting at $24/hr + performance-based bonuses</li><li>Health, Dental, and Vision insurance available after 90 days</li><li>Paid Time Off and Sick Leave to support your well-being</li><li>Ongoing training and coaching to hone your skills and learn new ones</li><li>Career advancement for those who show the qualities of a good leader and want to take on additional responsibilities</li><li>Team-building activities and a positive, inclusive workplace culture</li><li>National and International Travel to work at major events and to work with teams in other cities</li><li>401(k) management to help you plan for the future</li></ul>Key Accountabilities:<ul><li>Attend public and private sites, which may be indoors or outdoors, which are allocated in advance by NCE management to actively engage with members of the public</li><li>Consistently exceed the recruitment targets set by the Office Director, typically a minimum of 8 new committed donors per week</li><li>Represent NCE, its clients, and yourself in a professional and informed manner at all times and in accordance with our Codes of Conduct</li><li>Manage own emotional state - retain positive mindset to ensure potential donors are engaged and leave interactions feeling good</li><li>Provide accurate and timely reporting and administration in line with management requirements; ensure all paper and electronic records are completed accurately</li><li>Provide your own means of reaching agreed meeting places and work sites on time and prepared to start work. You will be expected to be proactive in your journey planning.</li><li>Be willing and able to work weekends, some public holidays, and some evenings</li></ul>Who We’re Looking For:As a Canvasser, your job is to get people’s attention, build rapport, and to tell stories with passion and emotion and drive people to give ongoing financial contributions. You’ll work with teammates in locations around the city and position yourself as a helpful and friendly member of the community.That means previous fundraising or canvassing experience is NOT required!We’re seeking individuals who are passionate about social and environmental justice and are eager to make a difference. We value demonstrated success in customer service, sales, retail, marketing, or any people-facing role.
