Camp Coordinator \u2013 NatureClosing Date: Open Until FilledCompensation: $16.00-$18.50 per hour DOQJob DescriptionSupervision and Safety:<ul><li>Always ensure the safety and well-being of campers and staff.</li><li>Supervise camp staff and campers during scheduled activities, meals, and free time.</li><li>Enforce camp rules and guidelines to maintain a secure and inclusive environment.</li><li>Communicate issues effectively with all members of the camp staff team.</li></ul>Activity Leadership:<ul><li>Plan and lead a variety of engaging and age-appropriate activities, including games, arts and crafts, and team-building exercises.</li><li>Collaborate with Camp Instructors to plan and lead engaging activities, ensuring a well-rounded and diverse program.</li><li>Facilitate group discussions and encourage camper participation.</li><li>Create and implement weekly lesson plans for educational and recreational activities.</li></ul>Outdoor/Nature-based Activities:<ul><li>Actively participate in outdoor activities all day with campers, ensuring their safety and enjoyment.</li><li>Plan activities that include outdoor hikes, games, nature discovery & exploration, experiments, STEM-based learning, and wilderness skills</li><li>Assist in organizing and implementing water-based games and activities.</li></ul>Lesson Planning:<ul><li>Develop creative and age-appropriate lesson plans for various camp activities, ensuring they align with camp goals and objectives.</li><li>Integrate educational elements into activities, fostering both learning and fun.</li></ul>Team Collaboration:<ul><li>Work collaboratively with fellow camp counselors and staff to coordinate daily activities and ensure a seamless camp experience.</li><li>Attend regular staff meetings and training sessions.</li></ul>Camper Engagement:<ul><li>Foster positive relationships with campers, encouraging camaraderie and teamwork.</li><li>Be attentive to the needs and concerns of campers, providing guidance and support as required.</li></ul>Communication:<ul><li>Maintain open and effective communication with campers, parents, and fellow staff members.</li><li>Report any incidents, concerns, or noteworthy achievements to camp leadership promptly.</li><li>Regularly update camp leadership on the progress of activities, addressing any concerns or adjustments needed.</li></ul>How To ApplyAll candidates must complete an online application through the Government Jobs Website in order to be considered for a position. <h1>Early Childhood Substitute Teacher</h1>Nature-Based Program | Ann Arbor AreaECE Subhub is seeking an energetic, adaptable Long-Term Early Childhood Substitute Teacher to support one of our nature-immersive partner programs in the Ann Arbor area. This is a great opportunity for an educator who loves the outdoors, embraces child-led exploration, and enjoys working in a diverse, inclusive early childhood community.This placement is with a program that spends the majority of each day outside exploring natural playscapes, gardens, and the surrounding community — rain, shine, mud, or snow. Educators who thrive in this environment enjoy staying active, getting messy, and supporting children as they learn through movement, nature, creativity, and hands-on discovery.The program operates across multiple locations, including Upper School, two Lower School locations, and a Spanish Immersion Center. Each site offers a unique environment designed to encourage curiosity, independence, and meaningful exploration.<h2>About the Program</h2><h3>Lower School</h3>Ages: 6 weeks–2.5 years Child-to-teacher ratio: 4:1 Daily attendance: Approximately 25 children Hours: 8:30 AM–5:30 PMThe Lower School provides a warm, nurturing environment for infants and toddlers. Children are cared for in small, loving family-style groups where mixed-age play, responsive caregiving, and nature-based routines are part of each day.Program features include:<ul><li>Nature-based themes woven into daily routines</li><li>Small, family-style classroom groups</li><li>Organic morning and afternoon snacks</li><li>Cloth-diaper friendly practices</li><li>Baby-wearing supportive environment</li><li>A nurturing, relationship-centered approach to infant and toddler care</li></ul><h3>Upper School</h3>Ages: 2.5–5 years Child-to-teacher ratio: 8:1 Daily attendance: Approximately 30 children Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PMThe Upper School is designed for active, curious preschoolers who learn through exploration, collaboration, and outdoor play.
