This role is responsible for long-term horizon scanning and opportunity shaping, focusing on managing and driving multi-year pursuits for assigned strategic programs. The Director of BD will build deep and wide relationships with all buying influences (end-user, OEM, prime, reseller, PM offices) to influence capability requirements towards Silvus solutions and capture large, long-cycle programs. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Program Capture: Take ownership of and drive the capture process for large-scale, multi-year US Navy programs. Cross-Functional Teaming: Collaborate closely with the Market Development Executive (MDE) to align high-level strategy and with Account Sales to ensure a smooth transition of "landed" programs for near-term execution. Market Intelligence: Stay updated on market trends, competitor actions, and funding priorities related to assigned programs to inform capture strategy. Travel Requirements- up to 50% of the time will be required to facilitate strong customer engagement; as needed to advance company goals and profitability. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; or High School Diploma/GED with at least 8 years of relevant experience. Minimum 5+ years of experience in defense sales or business development, specifically focused on the US Navy. Proven track record of capturing complex, long-cycle DoD programs (Programs of Record). Demonstrated experience building relationships within US Navy Acquisition offices and with relevant prime contractors. Experience leading all phases of business capture (whitepapers, proposals, RFI/RFP response, teaming, strategic positioning). Practical understanding of product development, technology transitioning, and marketing/product planning for US military applications. Knowledge of conducting and directing competitive product analysis using market research techniques and a solid technical understanding of service/agency needs and requirements. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Sales Management: Direct and oversee the entire sales process, targeting customers in line with the company's strategic objectives. Business Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with partners and customers in the United States Navy (USN) market. Identify new programs, market segments, and opportunities that build on the company's core MIMO solutions. **Position Description & Qualifications**

As the **Navy Acquisition Specialist** , you will be a part of Team Submarine located in **Bangor, WA** , where you will provide technical support covering a wide variety of Team Submarine logistics issues, including overall supply chain support for obsolescence resolution. As part of this dynamic team, you will be expected to bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.

Serco supports the US Navy Team Submarine contract by supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.

**This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain and transfer your U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance.**

In this role, you will perform these essential functions:

+ Contract Management:

+ Provide cradle-to-grave contract management support for active contracts.

+ Monitor contractor performance, track deliverables, and review invoices to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.

+ Assist in contract modifications, exercise options, and support the contract closeout process

+ Provide support related to DD Form 254, ensuring security requirements are current and accurately communicated to the government lead

+ PPBE & Financial Management

+ Track the execution of program funds and provide detailed financial analysis to program stakeholders and other GOVT stakeholders.

+ Assist in aligning program requirements with financial resources and budget cycles to ensure program stability and success.

+ Program Support:

+ Prepare and staff high-level briefings, white papers, and decision packages for senior leadership.

+ Participate in meetings and capture meeting minutes, ensuring accurate documentation of discussions, action items, and decisions for distribution to relevant stakeholders.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

+ **An active DoW Secret security clearance.**

+ **U.S Citizenship required.**

+ A Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering or other technical discipline.

+ 8 years experience in engineering/science management, operations research analysis or financial/cost analysis.

+ A significant experience in U.S. Navy programs at Trident Refit Facility, Bangor, Washington.

+ The ability to work independently and with a team and often under short, multiple deadlines.

+ A strong computer and analytical skills.

+ Effective communication skills, both written and oral.

+ The ability to be a self-starter, customer oriented and a collaborator.

+ To be procient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Outlook).

+ The ability to travel 10%.

+ 10+ years of experience supporting military and DoD clients.
