The division has an active NPM fellowship and residency training programs and a diverse faculty with several interests including infant mortality reduction, global health, new modalities of assisted ventilation, neonatal hematology, neurology, infectious disease, quality improvement, human milk, nutrition, apnea and BPD. The MedStar Georgetown University Hospital NICU is a level 4 unit with high frequency ventilation, iNO, ECMO, therapeutic hypothermia, and a robust neonatal transport system with iNO, HFV, and therapeutic hypothermia during interfacility transport.
