Performs a variety of duties that center on energetics work, including but not limited to assisting engineers in the development of mechanical, electrical and electromechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies and components, and grounding systems and component bonding during assembly, fabrication and transportation in the presence of energetic (explosive) materials to prevent detonation. Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks.
