<h5>Job Title </h5><p>Lab Technician </p><h5>Job Description </h5><p>We are seeking a hands-on Lab Technician to support our Liquid Phase Epitaxy (LPE) film growth operations in a semiconductor manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in laboratory operations, manufacturing, materials processing, engineering support, or technical production environments who enjoy working with precision equipment, data collection, and process-driven manufacturing. Shift B (Night Shift 12hrs): Sun – Weds, alternating Wednesdays off, approximate times of 5:30pm to 6:00am with15% Shift differential. Training will take place at our Hillsborough, NJ facility and will last approximately 6 to 9 months. Must be prepared to work 1 to 6 weeks Mon-Friday for training purposes. Shift timings may change to adjust to production necessities. At the conclusion of the training period this position will transfer full-time to our Easton, PA facility. Mileage reimbursement available during training period. </p><h5>Key Functions of Job </h5><ul><li>Recording and monitoring temperatures of furnaces </li><li>Weighing chemicals for additions and new melts </li><li>Mounting and etching substrates </li><li>Loading and dipping wafers into furnaces </li><li>Programming and terminating growth cycles </li><li>Measuring weight/thickness/warp of wafers accurately </li><li>Performing some data analysis </li><li>Prepping furnaces for new melts </li><li>Entering data using Access </li><li>Minor troubleshooting of furnace system/software </li><li>Handling of acids </li><li>Support other production processes as needed </li></ul><h5>Job Requirements </h5><p>Education: </p><ul><li>Minimum: HS diploma or equivalent </li><li>Preferred: Associate degree in a technical/engineering/scientific field </li></ul><p>Experience: </p><ul><li>Minimum 2+ years' experience working in a technical, scientific, or mechanical field. </li><li>Experience working in a laboratory environment and following good lab practices. </li><li>Experience working with precision measurement methods and systems. </li><li>Experience with PC based computers for programming LPE systems. </li><li>Intermediate or higher level with Excel, Word, and Access. </li><li>Experience with Oracle is a plus. </li><li>Experience working with fixtures, hand tools, and equipment controllers is a plus. </li><li>Comfortable working with chemicals, acids, and a high temperature environment. </li><li>Demonstrate the ability to read and follow directions while offering suggestions for continuous improvement. </li></ul><h5>Safety Requirements </h5><p>All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
