<div>ABOUT THE ROLEThe Advanced Practice Provider works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The APP functions as a member of the Lung Transplant and Thoracic Surgery Surgical Management teams. In conjunction with the attending, the APP will oversee care from the operating room and inpatient to discharge and throughout all aspects of the continuum of care. The APP may provide care throughout the system, including ICU, progressive and telemetry.  UK Albert B. Chandler Hospital: The University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital is a 569-bed acute care hospital. It has Central and Eastern Kentuckys only Level I trauma center and handles the most severe traumas. It has the only Level 4 neonatal intensive care unit in the area to treat the sickest infants.The hospital offers 100 intensive care beds, a post-anesthesia care unit, 17 operating rooms, 14-bed labor and delivery and 26 mother-baby rooms.
