At least three (3) to five (5) years of recent, relevant hands-on experience within the last seven (7) years in the operation, troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and assessing of U.S. Navy shipboard firefighting, damage control, pollution-abatement, and fresh-water systems and their associated electrical/electronic controls including, but not limited to: AFFF; CO2/Halon/HFP; Aqueous Potassium Carbonate (APC); Countermeasure Washdown (CMWD); MOGAS; fire, main-drainage, and flushing pumps and valves; temporary fire-main protection; flame/smoke ejection; water mist and saltwater sprinklers; fire-main piping. Ability to provide support for pollution-abatement and fresh-water systems — Oil Pollution Abatement (OPA), Oil Waste Separators (OWS), Oil Content Monitors (OCM), Reverse Osmosis distilling plants, CHT/VCHT, evaporative toilet systems, potable water, Electric Cooling Water (ECW), shredders, Plastic Waste Processor (PWP), Metal/Glass Shredder (MGS), and waste pulpers.
