<div><strong>Project Manager II – Nuclear</strong><br/><br/></div><div><strong>Job Site Location: Monticello Nuclear Plant – Monticello, MN<br/>Duration: 12-Month Contract (High Likelihood of Extension)<br/>Work Schedule: Primarily Onsite<br/>Per Diem: Offered at the standard GSA rate for the area (for qualified non-local candidates)<br/></strong><br/><strong>No C2C Inquiries! </strong><br/><br/></div><div><strong>Position Overview:</strong></div><div>We are seeking an experienced Project Manager II to support capital improvement projects at the Monticello Nuclear Plant in Monticello, Minnesota. This role is responsible for full lifecycle (cradle-to-grave) management of nuclear capital projects including plant modifications, equipment replacements, and facility upgrades.<br/><br/></div><div>This opportunity offers the chance to work in a highly structured, safety-driven nuclear environment supporting long-term plant reliability and modernization initiatives.<br/><br/></div><div><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></div><ul><li>Manage capital projects from initiation through closeout.</li><li>Develop project scopes, schedules, cost estimates, and funding requests.</li><li>Oversee budgets, cost controls, forecasting, and financial reporting.</li><li>Coordinate engineering, maintenance, construction, and vendor activities.</li><li>Manage contractor performance and ensure milestone achievement.</li><li>Lead project meetings and provide executive-level updates.</li><li>Support procurement activities, vendor selection, and contract management.</li><li>Ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory, safety, and quality standards.</li></ul><div><br/></div><div>Projects are typically valued at $1M+ and may involve system modifications, equipment replacements, and facility upgrades.<br/><br/></div><div><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></div><ul><li>5–7+ years of cradle-to-grave project management experience.</li><li>Experience managing capital projects valued at $1M or greater.</li><li>Strong understanding of PMI/PMBOK predictive (Waterfall) project management methodologies.</li><li>Ability to work onsite at Monticello Nuclear Plant.</li><li>Must be eligible to obtain unescorted nuclear plant access (background check and fitness-for-duty screening required).</li></ul><div><br/></div><div><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></div><ul><li>ABET-accredited degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Nuclear Engineering.</li><li>Commercial nuclear power experience strongly preferred.</li><li>Ex-Navy Nuclear or prior utility/power plant experience preferred if no commercial nuclear background.</li><li>Construction project experience.</li><li>Finance or cost controls background.</li><li>Experience with:</li><li>SAP</li><li>Primavera P6</li><li>MS Project</li><li>Unifier</li><li>UKG Workday</li><li><strong>Experience with organizations such as WECTEC or GE is considered a plus.</strong></li></ul><br/><br/><strong>About Allied Staff Augmentation Partners:</strong><p>ASAP (Allied Staff Augmentation Partners, Inc.) is the expert solution for companies seeking skilled contract labor without the administrative, legal and management headaches of using outsourced workers. Trainees learn to verify the nuclear plant is operated in accordance with technical specifications and licensing basis.</li><li>Learn and obtain the necessary skills to effectively oversee activities of Control Room Operators and Auxiliary Operators and to investigate Operational problems and evaluate for plant impact. Trainee will also learn to effectively coordinator shift activities with plant work schedule.</li><li>Learn and obtain the necessary skills needed to perform administrative functions related to plant operational requirements. Trainees learn to issue Maintenance work requests and to maintain current plant logging requirements.</li><li>Must complete all training required as evidenced by successfully passing any and all required licensing exams</li></ul><p/><p>Upon completion of training the successful candidate will transition to a licensed supervisor position.</p><p/><p>MUST BE AVAILABLE TO START in January of 2027 or sooner.</p><p/><p>An incentive program is offered based on progress through the initial license training program. Individuals will be eligible for the following incentive payments, based on key milestones within the program:</p><p/><p><b>Payment 1</b></p><p>Successful Completion of Systems Training = $16,000</p><p/><p><b>Payment 2</b></p><p>Audit Written Exam Score (thresholds below), and Successful Completion of JPMs and Simulator Scenarios</p><ul><li>Scoring 85% or above = $10,000</li><li>Scoring Less Than 85% but Above 80% = $5,000</li><li>Scoring below 80% = No bonus</li></ul><p/><p><b>Payment 3</b></p><p>Receipt of Senior Reactor Operator License = $20,000</p><p/><p><b>Minimum Requirements</b></p><p>Must meet one of the following items per ACAD 10-01:</p><ul><li>Certified Instructor with greater than 4 years commercial nuclear experience</li><li>Licensed reactor operator duties as an ACTIVE* RO for 12 Months or more at Monticello or Prairie Island</li><li>12 months or more as an ACTIVE* RO or SRO at a commercial power reactor facility of the same vendor and vintage</li><li>18 months or more as an ACTIVE* RO or SRO at a noncomparable commercial power reactor facility</li><li>18 months or more in a position equivalent to a reactor operator position at a military reactor?
