Create scripts and applications for data collection, processing, analysis, visualization, and reporting Develop software, and the accompanying UI if applicable, to automate repetitive engineering, testing, and operational tasks Develop interfaces and tools that allow engineers, technicians, and operators to interact with process equipment and engineering systems safely and efficiently Work with Process Scientists to develop software supporting experiments, process monitoring, data collection, and analysis Interface with databases, historians, APIs, file systems, and other data-storage technologies to ensure operational and experimental data is properly captured, recorded, and accessible Develop and maintain software used for system testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance verification Produce detailed software documentation, interface specifications, test procedures, and user documentation Maintain source code, configuration records, test records, and other engineering documentation Apply sound software-development practices including version control, code reviews, testing, configuration management, and change control Support commissioning and startup activities, including troubleshooting software and control-system issues in the field. Active DOE Q-Clearance or equivalent (DoD Top Secret), or the ability to obtain and maintain one Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience Professional experience developing software applications, automation tools, or engineering software Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, C, Python, or similar.
