Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office • Comprehensive knowledge and application of nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy • General knowledge of nutrient analysis, word processing, e-mail, and spreadsheet software • Ability to search the web for nutrition research or practice updates and apply knowledge to updating reference materials, preparing for presentations, education, etc. Provides counseling and education using evidence-based techniques that reflect appropriate health literacy and cultural sensitivity to patients with disease processes requiring nutritional management.
