Prepare, pick, pack, and dispatch outgoing goods and merchandise according to written or verbal requests or work orders; use pick sheets in various formats (paper or electronic) to locate items within the warehouse; remove products from warehouse shelves and place them on pallets, using a pallet jack or forklift, following stacking policies to prevent product damage; verify product and quantity accuracy. Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles; receive and put away incoming goods and merchandise; unpack bales, crates, and other containers; check for damage and discrepancies between goods and invoices; may install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit from truck to warehouse and/or shelving.
