This position will support Dr. Ammar Alsamawi with a rotating schedule between our Fitchburg and Gammon locations. Under the supervision of the orthodontist, the NPC II is responsible for learning and mastering various orthodontic procedures. They must be able to demonstrate that they are grasping the procedures and are able to perform them by making progress towards mastering the procedures and performing them independently or under the direction of the orthodontist. The NPC II will also act as a backup for the NPC role, which consists of taking records (pictures and x-rays) used for creating a treatment plan for the new patient. <br/><br/><strong>Duties include but are not limited to:</strong><ul><li>Under the supervision of the orthodontist, the NPC II is responsible for learning and mastering the following orthodontic procedures: </li><li>Assist the orthodontist during procedures, such as adjusting braces and placing orthodontic appliances. </li><li>Complete Full Arch Bonding top and bottom, as well as bonding fixed retainers. </li><li>Debonding </li><li>Rebonding Brackets </li><li>Using various digital scanners </li><li>Making clear retainers </li><li>Delivering expanders, space maintainers and forsus. </li><li>Taking clear x-rays. </li><li>Taking clear photos. </li><li>Taking accurate scans for retainers. </li><li>Assisting in sterilizing equipment. </li><li>Maintaining clean working environment (not limited to picture & X-ray area). </li><li>Work with the Treatment Coordinator to ensure patient case acceptance by orchestrating a "warm hand-off" to the TC. </li><li>Assist in meeting and/or exceeding monthly and annual clinic goals. </li><li>Cover topics such as payment options and provide the patient with general information regarding insurance coverage as it relates to orthodontics. </li><li>In the event you are traveling to another clinic, you are required to perform all duties and responsibilities of your role including administrative tasks. </li><li>Participate in Marketing Events </li><li>Completion of annual compliance training </li><li>Other tasks as assigned. </li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>High School Diploma/ GED </li><li>New Patient Coordinators should have the ability to work independently and in a team setting </li><li>Computer skills </li><li>Previous experience in a dental or orthodontic setting preferred </li><li>Bilingual - Spanish required </li></ul><strong>Working Hours/ Location:</strong><ul><li>Monday - Wednesday 8:45am - 5:00pm </li><li>Thursday - Friday 6:45am - 3:00pm </li><li>2 Saturdays per month </li><li>Base location: N81W15180 Ste.
