Opportunity Information:
Sansum Clinic, now part of Sutter Health, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Orthopedic Surgery team in beautiful Santa Barbara, CA.This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of orthopedic surgeons in a dynamic, patient-centered environment. The APC will play a key role supporting both clinic and surgical care, with a strong emphasis on total joint procedures.Position Details:<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Schedule: Combination of clinic and OR time</li></ul><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Clinic: 3 days per week</li><li>OR: 2 days per week (with return to clinic after cases are completed)</li></ul></li></ul><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Patient Volume: 20–25 patients per clinic day</li><li>Scope of Practice:</li></ul><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Independent clinic panel with referrals to orthopedic surgeons</li><li>Pre- and post-operative patient management</li><li>First assist in the OR</li></ul></li></ul><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Team Structure:</li></ul><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Support 2 orthopedic surgeons</li><li>Practice focus on general orthopedics with emphasis on total joint surgery</li></ul></li></ul><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Call:</li></ul><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Shared call schedule (approximately Q3 after-hours call)</li></ul></li></ul><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Compensation Model:</li></ul><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li><ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Base salary</li><li>Bonus for new patient consults</li><li>wRVU production bonus</li><li>Call stipend</li></ul></li></ul>This role offers a balanced mix of autonomy and team collaboration, ideal for an APC who enjoys both clinic continuity and surgical involvement.
