The OT must demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, human anatomy and physiology, neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, manifestations of disease and trauma, normal and abnormal physiological responses, biomechanics of motion, injury and disability, and cultural, ethnic and socioeconomic influences on an individual. The Occupational Therapist will provide a thorough assessment of individuals with cognitive or physical impairments resulting in decreased independence with functions of daily living or functional mobility, decreased fine motor coordination, ROM, and/or strength of the upper extremities.
