This role blends hands-on teamwork, meaningful interactions, and the satisfaction of knowing your work matters.<br/><br/><strong>Your day includes:</strong></div><ul><li>Set the Stage — Transport and set up equipment to turn everyday spaces into professional donation centers. All staff work as a team to set up and tear down the equipment required to conduct a mobile blood drive.</li><li>Connect with Donors — Welcome donors, listen to their stories, and help them feel comfortable and valued.</li><li>Build Real Skills — Perform safe, high-quality blood collections once fully trained in phlebotomy techniques.</li><li>Ensure Safety & Compliance — Follow all safety procedures and regulatory requirements to ensure every donation meets quality standards and can be safely transfused.</li><li>Pack Up with Purpose — Leave each site knowing the blood collected today could reach a patient within days.<br/></li></ul><div><br/><strong>The Schedule (Earlysville, Virginia):</strong><br/>We operate when donors are available, so you can expect a mix of:</div><ul><li>Early mornings.</li><li>Evenings.</li><li>Weekends.</li><li>Occasional holidays.</li><li>Some locations may require overnight travel.<br/></li></ul><div><br/>Your schedule is shared 2–3 weeks in advance, giving you plenty of time to plan your life around your work.<br/><strong><br/>What We're Looking For:</strong><br/>We’re looking for people with heart, reliability, and strong potential — whether your background is medical, service-based, or community-focused.<br/><br/><strong>You'll do well here if you have:</strong></div><ul><li>A high school diploma or GED.</li><li>Customer service experience and effective verbal communication skills.</li><li>A current, valid driver’s license with a good driving record; reliable personal transportation may be required in certain locations.</li><li>Basic computer skills required; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.<br/></li></ul><div><br/><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></div><ul><li>This role is physically active. You'll need to be comfortable with:</li><li>Lifting, pushing, or pulling heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs.</li><li>Good manual dexterity.</li><li>Sitting or standing for long periods of time.</li><li>Adapting to long, irregular hours and frequent schedule changes.</li><li>A minimum height of 60 inches (required to safely operate Red Cross vehicles).<br/></li></ul><div><br/><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></div><ul><li>Bonus points (not required) — we love seeing experience in any of the following:</li><li>Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (CNA, MA, EMT, etc.)</li><li>Prior leadership experience.</li><li>Retail, hospitality, food service, military service, or other people-focused roles.<br/></li></ul><div><br/>Apply now!
