Your Impact at Lowe's As a Receiver/Stocker, you help keep the store clean, safe, and ready for customers by accurately receiving freight, stocking shelves, and organizing merchandise and top stock. You'll unload deliveries, handle equipment and hazardous materials safely, and make sure your area is prepped for daily success. This role is physical and fast-paced, requiring safe lifting practices and attention to detail. You'll spend most of your shift on your feet, working mornings, afternoons, evenings, or overnight depending on store needs. You may also assist customers in locating or loading products. Most shifts are physically active, and scheduling may include morning, evening, or overnight hours based on store needs. Key Responsibilities<ul><li>Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects </li><li>Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets </li><li>Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock prep, and using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts </li><li>Maintain a safe, clean environment by following proper procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping </li><li>Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra phones, balers, and other tools as needed </li><li>Pitch in as a team player to complete other assigned tasks </li></ul>Additional responsibilities for Pro Fulfillment Stores include:<ul><li>Use the Orders App to pick and stage Flatbed Delivery orders </li><li>Load delivery orders, ensuring quality, accuracy, and safe loading practices </li><li>Rotate orders by delivery date and resolve customer order issues </li><li>Proactively communicate with customers to ensure delivery satisfaction </li><li>Execute Delivery Readiness best practices </li></ul>Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>3 months Experience operating forklift/power equipment such as lifts, order pickers, and similar equipment </li><li>6 months Experience in a warehouse performing inventory handling and stocking </li></ul> Lowe's commitment to growth and teamwork extends to the community as well. Travel Requirements This role does not require regular travel, but occasional travel may be needed for meetings, training sessions, or to support nearby stores. Working Conditions Environmental factors vary by location. You may be working in both inside and outside weather conditions. Exposure to varying climates, including extreme heat or cold, wet, damp, humid, windy, or drafty conditions, is possible. You may be exposed to constant or intermittent noises in addition to moving or shaking objects and equipment. Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume. Associates must follow guidelines, limiting single lifts to 75 pounds. Team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds or when needed. The warehouse is a central and busy location, and we are a team that spends a lot of time together, near each other, acting with a sense of urgency, and we love to serve our customers. Generally speaking, Stock Clerks serve at the Facilities Management warehouse "sales" counter to release and return items to various personnel "customers" (e.g., carpenters, painters, electricians, plumbers, building maintenance crew members).Additional duties include the following: Performing urgent procurement and delivery function needs. Maintaining warehouse inventory, storing inventory in designated areas (e.g., specific aisle and shelf) - Receiving returned materials  Counting inventory with a keen eye and attention to detail. Maintaining daily and monthly records - Maintaining the interior of some company vehicles. As needed, may sometimes assist at the loading dock or with University Mailing Services functions.Must use appropriate personal protective equipment as required (hard hat, vest, gloves, safety glasses, etc.). Experience with material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jack, forklift, etc.), and knowledge of trade tools and measurements.Stock Clerk III: Must meet Stock Clerk I and II requirements, but have three years of experience in a warehouse setting while working independently and autonomously in a decision-making role.</li><li>Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:Have before hire and maintain after hire, a forklift license within 1 year of hire.Have before hire, and maintain after hire a valid driver's license for the operation of an OSU vehicle, which is required in the performance of job duties as assigned.</li><li>Skills, Proficiencies, and/or Knowledge:Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability and willingness to follow the leadership's and more senior stock clerks' direction.Not just an ability but an eagerness to appropriately take initiative within the bounds of one's responsibilities. A collaborative willingness and eagerness to work with and alongside a diverse team of people. Proficiency in math; familiar with units of measure (e.g., lumber and pipe), and basic computer skills.Safety consciousness. Physical ability to occasionally lift in excess of 50 pounds.
