<div><strong>What You Need To Know:</strong></div><ul><li>$33/hr.</li><li>This is a <strong>Cover Driver</strong> role responsible for filling in when regular Line Haul Drivers are out due to vacation or illness. </li><li>During coverage, the driver will follow the schedule of the absent driver, typically starting around 12:00 AM, and will focus solely on driving duties.</li><li>When not covering, responsibilities include: Yard jockeying trucks and trailers and performing warehouse tasks, including case handling.<br/><br/></li></ul><div><strong>Monday - Thursday schedule, 4 days a week, Guaranteed 40 Hours, Home Daily. </strong></div><div><strong>Class A CDL + Doubles/Triples Endorsement REQUIRED.</strong></div><div> </div><div><strong>Overview:</strong></div><div>The Line Haul Driver Class A is responsible for delivering products from the Edwardsville, KS distribution center to one of our depot locations then back to Edwardwardsville. All freight is off loaded and loaded by warehouse staff.<br/><br/></div><div><strong>Primary Responsibilities:</strong></div><ul><li>Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the vehicle.</li><li>Adhere to the safe and courteous operation of the delivery vehicle at all times.</li><li>Complete all required paperwork daily, including Department of Transportation logbook and driver vehicle inspection report (DVIR).</li><li>Report to work in adherence to company uniform standards (e.g., neat, clean, and properly attired).</li><li>Adhere to all safety regulations, and perform all duties in a safe manner.</li><li>Plan trip logistics and obtain necessary documents to transport goods.</li><li>Ensure cargo is secured properly and compliant with safety requirements.</li><li>Report any incidents to the dispatcher.</li><li>Follow/adhere to all traffic laws.</li><li>Maintain vehicle, product, and equipment tidy and in good working order.</li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned.<br/><br/></li></ul><div><strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong></div><ul><li>1 year of experience.</li><li>Must be Department of Transportation (DOT) certified.</li><li>Class A Commercial Driver s License required.</li><li>Doubles/Triples Endorsement REQUIRED.</li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age.<br/><br/></li></ul><div><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></div><ul><li>Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping.</li><li>Additional hours may be required during October, November, and December and other peak periods.</li><li>Capable of working flexible hours which could include overnight, early morning, and/or late evening.</li><li>May require lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 56lbs.</li></ul><br/><br/><strong>About Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits:</strong><p>Shape a remarkable future with us.
