<h3><strong>Summary:</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Location:</strong> Onsite in Alliance, NE</li><li><strong>Shift:</strong> 2nd: Monday - Friday (02:00 PM - 10:00 PM [Lunch: 06:00 PM - 06:30 PM])</li></ul><h3><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></h3><ul><li>Manage inventory and control metrics in a 24/7 shop environment.</li><li>Pull materials from the warehouse for shop use and ensure correct issuance.</li><li>Manage stockouts and update estimated times of arrival for parts.</li><li>Perform daily cycle counts to correct inventory inconsistencies.</li><li>Forecast material needs for inbound and in-shop locomotives.</li><li>Perform quality control on inbound and outbound shipments.</li><li>Arrange LTL and Expedite shipments using the Ryder portal.</li><li>Use multiple software programs to order, receive, ship, and track materials.</li><li>Read mechanical drawings to determine needed materials.</li><li>Operate forklifts, including daily shift inspections.</li><li>Compile reports on various inventory metrics.</li><li>Process sales of materials and retrieve repair cycle assets from the shop floor.</li><li>Restock warehouse and shop floor materials.</li><li>Maintain warehouse housekeeping, maintenance, and organization.</li><li>Process warranty claims for eligible removed cores.</li><li>Perform daily counts of large commodity assets.</li><li>Respond to requests from Circle of Service shops for additional materials.</li><li>Record material transactions via appropriate system transactions or computer programs.</li><li>Assemble customer orders from stock and relocate orders to the shipping department.</li><li>Assist with the coordination of physical inventory counting.</li><li>Wear proper safety equipment at all times.</li></ul><h3><strong>Requirements:</strong></h3><ul><li>High school diploma or GED or at least 2 years of recent and relevant work history.</li><li>Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.</li><li>Experience in logistics or shipping/receiving work environments.</li><li>Experience operating forklifts and other shop equipment safely.</li><li>High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple duties.</li><li>Ability to work in a warehouse/shop environment and flexible schedule.</li><li>Reliable and predictable attendance.</li><li>High level of dependability, great attitude, and team collaboration.</li></ul><h3><strong>Physical Demands:</strong></h3><ul><li>Standing for long periods of time.</li><li>Walking on hard and uneven surfaces.</li><li>Climbing on/off locomotives and fitting into small spaces.</li><li>Wearing required personal protective gear.</li><li>Typing and operating a computer.</li><li>Working overnight shifts and multiple days in a row, if required.</li></ul>
