Responsibilities:
The Senior Buyer Senior Purchasing Agent is responsible for executing and supporting strategic procurement activities related to capital projects, MRO contracts, engineering initiatives and indirect purchasing needs in the Morgantown, KY facility. The Senior Buyer / Senior Purchasing Agent serves as a key liaison between Plant Staff, Project Management, Finance, and suppliers, and may support or guide junior procurement staff.ONLY LOCAL KY CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE.  Senior Buyer / Senior Purchasing AgentKey Responsibilities<ul style="margin-top:0in"><li>Process and track purchase orders and supplier documentation related to Capital purchases, MRO contract purchases and other Procurement initiatives/activities.</li><li>Collaborate with Plant staff, Project Management, and Finance teams to gather technical specifications and ensure accurate purchase order entry.</li><li>Utilize and execute corporate sourcing strategies, including RFQs/RFPs, supplier evaluations, and total cost analysis for assigned categories and projects.</li><li>Negotiate pricing, delivery, payment terms, warranties, and commercial conditions in alignment with corporate procurement policies.</li><li>Quote, maintain and coordinate all mobile equipment purchases in collaboration with the corporate Mobile equipment manager.</li><li>Manage supplier communications, including quote requests, order confirmations, and delivery tracking.</li><li>Assist in supplier onboarding, ensuring completion of required forms and compliance documents.</li><li>Maintain accurate procurement records in ERP systems, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier data.</li><li>Analyze purchasing data and generate reports related to spend, supplier performance, cost savings, and project status</li><li>Participate in procurement testing, enhancements, and data validation activities during ERP upgrades or system implementations.</li><li>Support corporate procurement initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of policies, procedures, and tools.</li><li>Provide guidance, informal mentoring, or workflow support to Stockroom Clerk as needed.</li><li>Utilize and maintain expense reporting for P-card usage for non-PO purchases</li></ul>

Qualifications:
Senior Buyer / Senior Purchasing AgentRequirements<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).</li><li>3–5 years of progressive experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain functions, preferably supporting Indirect Procurement, Capital Procurement or technical categories.</li><li>Demonstrated experience with supplier negotiations, sourcing activities, and contract management.</li><li>Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle Cloud preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).</li><li>Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.</li><li>Ability to interpret technical drawings, scopes of work, and specifications with Engineering support.</li><li>Ability to potentially travel in support of project and supplier-related activities.</li><li>Interest in continued professional development in procurement, sourcing, and supply chain best practices.</li></ul>

Key Job Accountabilities Strategy Development and Strategy Implementation + Contribute to the development of the overall procurement strategy and translate the procurement strategy into concrete action plans + Work closely with the Technical Procurement Manager Liquids & Prepress NA and other key stakeholders to develop and implement effective sourcing strategies for the relevant category in order to ensure quality of services and improve value to Amcor + Evaluate market and competitive conditions and use as a basis to review Category strategies and sourcing activities + Work closely with Site Management to ensure that the needs of the Sites are effectively represented in the Procurement Strategies + Manage the supply base across the Categories.
