Hybrid remote available (2 days on site, 3 remote) for local (PA, NJ) candidates, after training and at the manager's discretion.     The Buyer procures supplies/services and ongoing monitoring of Procurement’s transactional operations including the leading of work groups to drive continuous improvement and respond to audits.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Responsible for procuring goods, equipment, and services for the Network</li><li>Reviews requisitions for accuracy before completing ordering process with suppliers</li><li>Works with Accounts Payable and Suppliers to resolve invoice discrepancies</li><li>Research and resolves receiving issues and completes return processes</li><li>Identifies repetitive problems and communicates with Sr. Buyer for review and process improvement opportunities</li><li>Coordinates with Master Data Management team on Item Master changes and maintenance</li><li>Serves as a liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers, building and maintaining strong customer and vendor relationships</li><li>Coordinates and collaborates with various departments for product review and Network initiatives</li></ul>PHYSICAL AND SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:Requires walking for up to 8 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; standing for up to 8 hours per day, 4 hours at a time; sitting for up to 8 hours per day, 4 hours at a time. Frequent fingering, handling and twisting and turning. Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull and hold approximately 30 pounds.  Occasional reaching above shoulder level, bending, crouching, climbing stairs and ladders up to 30 feet and climbing stairs.  Hearing as it relates to normal conversation.  Seeing as it relates to normal vision, perceiving objects, scenery and print.EDUCATION:Bachelor’s degree preferred in business management, supply chain management, or related field.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:2 years of experience in procurement/purchasing department. Sr. Buyer, Easton, PAGENERAL SUMMARY:Develops, negotiates, and leads sourcing strategies that drive measurable improvements in the area of consumer satisfaction, compliance/supplier diversity and cost benefits in the procurement of direct and indirect goods and services.  Identify opportunities and innovation by leveraging suppliers’ ideas and product capabilities for global product management assessment.PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:<ul><li>Determines the sourcing, selection, and procurement of products and services that are within the incumbent’s procurement responsibilities.</li><li>Negotiates financial contractual agreements for those products and services that are within the assigned procurement category. Develops commercial terms and conditions, contracts and agreements for the purchase of goods and services while coordinating with legal counsel assigned.</li><li>Investigates, identifies and implements alternative sourcing options for products and services that may improve quality while reducing overall cost; provide alternate source vendors where required to meet surge demands; work with end users to resolve critical sourcing issues.</li><li>Leads and negotiates with suppliers and team the timelines, samples, regulatory, safety, quality and specifications for effective product launch.</li><li>Develops and maintains supplier relationships to ensure performance expectations and service level requirements while ensuring continuous improvement and the encouragement of innovative ideas.</li><li>Evaluates suppliers performance by tracking how well they work with departments based on response to: on-time shipment, quality and safety programs, product technology development programs and cost, and recommends a corrective action plan if necessary.</li><li>Analyzes economic market trends and changes in business practices that would affect product quality, pricing and product availability, and recommends alternative solutions.</li><li>Collaborates with business partners on new product introductions and line extensions by managing standard cost, gross profit, quality and safety requirements along with on-time delivery.
<ul></ul></li><li>Establishes standard costs; analyzes and problem solves purchase price variances against financial corporate standards to deliver exceptional business and financial results.</li><li>Partners with Hallmark Global Procurement to maximize the cost and supplier relationship opportunities associated with common supply needs.</li><li>Maintains and ensures compliance of purchasing policies and practices to control procurement function.</li><li>Participates and adheres to Hallmark’s Supplier Diversity Program.</li><li>Commercial contract management review with in depth business knowledge; and liaison between Legal, Information Security and Business Unit.</li><li>Customer driven sustainability surveys and goals.
