<h2>Join Our Shipping and Receiving Team at MIASA Automotive in Yorktown, IN</h2>Are you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for logistics and supply chain management? MIASA Automotive is seeking a skilled Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our growing team in Yorktown, IN. As a vital member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of products in and out of our facility.<h3>Responsibilities:</h3><ul><li>Safely load and unload vehicles as neccessary</li><li>Prepare shipments for transit by verifing contents, acquiring proper paperwork, confirming documentation</li><li>Prepare items for shipment, including packaging and labeling</li><li>Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized shipping and receiving area</li><li>Follow FIFO inventory procedures</li><li>Perform weekly, or as requested, inventory of all finished goods, castings, and other process materials (coolants, cleaning supplies, cardboard, skids, etc.)</li><li>Transport required material to production areas to support manufacturing</li><li>Transport shavings, refuse and scarp to proper containers. Contact proper vendor for disposal.</li><li>Perform daily inspection of Industrial Fork Lift, reporting all unsafe conditions. Maintain a record of inspections.</li><li>Perform all tasks and activies as required for the safe and efficient operation of the facility.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications:</h3><ul><li>Previous experience in a shipping and receiving role preferred</li><li>Strong organizational and time management skills</li><li>Ability to lift and move heavy packages</li><li>Excellent attention to detail</li><li>Basic computer skills</li><li>Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. on a frequent bases, with up to 40 lbs. on an occassional basis.</li><li>Mental concentration and manual dexterity required to properly construct boxes and operate material handling equipment</li><li>Must have Forklift Certification</li><li>Bilingual is a plus</li><li>High school diploma or GED Certificate</li></ul>At MIASA Automotive, we value teamwork, integrity, and a commitment to excellence. You focus on improving safety, reducing costs, enhancing quality, and maximizing effectiveness through long-term planning and project implementation. You serve as the key communicator between Warehouse Operations and Production planning and operations. In this role, you manage hourly employees who handle receiving, storage, material delivery, and shipping functions to support plant production. You ensure your team receives proper training, development, and consistent application of plant policies and procedures. Key Outputs/Deliverables: + Supervise day-to-day activities of assigned department. + Provide guidance and training to hourly workforce to ensure production, supply chain and quality goals are met. + Meet scheduled commitments on a timely basis with respect to mixing, sifting and delivering WIP to designated areas. + Meet shipping and receiving schedules as well as inventory control and accuracy. + Maintain positive employee relations, open communications while resolving employee discipline or performance issues. + Maintain professional relationships with other departments within the plant and corporate offices. + Prepare paperwork / reports on a timely basis. + Follow all sanitation, GMP, safety, quality and employee relation programs. + Confirm processes are run in accordance with SOP’s, SOPP’s and other documentation. + Identify, recommend, develop and implement improvements in safety, quality, processes, costs and SOP documentation. + Responsible to have safe work instructions available for all positions. + Meet ad-hoc customer requirements or to deal with unexpected Supply Chain disruptions + Develop, maintain and empower a quality conscientious attitude among employees. + Help identify long term opportunities and solutions for continuous improvement. + Promote open communications between shifts and departments. + Develop teamwork approach to teams. + Warehouse Supervisor will drive LEAN activities to improve performance. + Ensure all raw material, packaging material, WIP and finished goods are handled within GMP and FIFO guidelines. + Drive cost saving initiatives to improve performance and cost of the warehouse operation. Also ensure the correct construction, control and management of the budget of warehousing (cost budget for warehousing and possible investment requirements). + Ensure all employees have the required level of safety training, all equipment and installations are well maintained with safety guards & devices and associates are using the appropriate PPE. + Assure activities being performed having an environmental impact are communicated and accomplished according to the environmental management systems. Qualifications: + BA/BS in Logistics / Supply Chain preferred + Minimum 5 years related work experience (including military). + Firm understanding of manufacturing production, distribution and logistics processes. + Communication skills (strong verbal and written required). + Strong troubleshooting / problem-solving (analytical) skills + Strong interpersonal skills (ability to effectively work with all levels from hourly to management). + Strong leadership and teamwork skills. + Strong time management and multi-tasking skills. + Proficiency in SAP, GLOBE (internal candidates), MRP. + Ability to periodically lift loads heavier than 30-50 pounds. + Ability to stand and/or walk more than 50-75% of a shift if required. Minimum Experiences: + 3 years progressive experience in a manufacturing, warehouse or military environment. + 2+ Previous supervisory/people leader responsibilities preferred. + Preferred: Experience in the food processing, aseptic or pharmaceutical industry. + Preferred: experience using SAP #AndersonSalary It is our business imperative to remain a very inclusive workplace.
