Description:
Shipping & Receiving Clerk – U.S. Army Equipment Turn-In Site (Contractor) The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for processing, tracking, and documenting the inbound and outbound movement of Army equipment and materiel at a contractor-managed turn-in site. This role ensures compliance with U.S. Army supply regulations, Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR), and contract requirements, while supporting accurate property accountability and efficient turn-in operations. The clerk works closely with warehouse, supply, and transportation personnel to ensure timely and accurate shipping and receiving activities.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Receiving Operations:<ul><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Process and verify incoming equipment from Army units in accordance with AR 710-2, AR 735-5, and DA PAM 710-2-1.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Match items to turn-in documentation (DA Form 1348-1A, DD Form 200, hand receipts) for accuracy and completeness.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Update Army logistics systems (GCSS-Army, DPAS, or LMP) to reflect receipt transactions.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Stage and transfer items to designated warehouse or yard locations.</li></ul></li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Shipping Operations:<ul><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Prepare and process outbound shipments of Army equipment for transfer, redistribution, or disposal.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Generate and review shipping documentation (DD Form 1348-1A, bills of lading, TCMDs, DD Form 1149).</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Coordinate with transportation teams for scheduling, loading, and dispatch of shipments.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Verify load plans, ensure cargo is properly packaged, marked, and secured.</li></ul></li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Documentation & Recordkeeping:<ul><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Maintain accurate logs of all inbound and outbound shipments.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Input transactions into Army-approved logistics and transportation systems (e.g., GCSS-Army, TC-AIMS II).</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">File and maintain shipping, receiving, and discrepancy reports in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and government auditing standards.</li></ul></li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Coordination & Customer Service:<ul><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Work with Army unit supply personnel to resolve documentation or shipment discrepancies.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Coordinate with Supply Technicians, Material Coordinators, and Warehouse Specialists to ensure smooth equipment flow.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Communicate shipment and receipt status to site supervisors and the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).</li></ul></li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Safety & Compliance:<ul><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Follow OSHA, Army, and company safety procedures during loading, unloading, and material handling.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Ensure compliance with HAZMAT packaging, labeling, and transportation regulations.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif;font-size:12pt">Maintain a clean, safe shipping/receiving work area.</li></ul></li></ul>

Qualifications:

Ensure stock material is accurate and stored properly. Ensure material is properly packed and preserved and ready for issue. Comprehend and understand the facility storage plan as outlined by management and SOPs.</li><li>Requisition Processing - Pick and Pack Customer requisitions/orders as generated by warehouse management system. Verifying picks and packs are accurate as compared to requisition documentation (NSN, quantity, and Condition Code).</li><li>Transportation Preparation - Prepare and complete outbound process of requisitions/transshipments for transportation to include physical conformance of packaging, quantity, correct NSN, and proper staging Transportation / Shipping work areas.
