Requirements: BS degree in Packaging Science or Engineering 5+ years’ experience in cosmetic package development Concentrated experience in beauty industry with proven development experience in skin care, fragrance, and color categories Comprehensive knowledge of global supplier community and strong understanding of mechanical and chemical PCR and PIR structures Demonstrated understanding of manufacturing and distribution process as it relates to supporting targeted and global product launch strategies Deep/practical packaging expertise in sustainability and abreast of best practices and emerging opportunities/technologies that support sustainability objectives Able to create package specification, fill and assemblies, and control plan Provide updates of project milestones, inform appropriate people of technical and timing issues Audit testing to qualify new packages Ensure all projects are completed and meet the intended design, quality, cost, functionality, manufacturability, regulatory, consumer safety and objectives Provide technical solutions and work with the cross functional team on timeline target, cost avoidance, and quality improvement Maintain technical contact with suppliers Understanding of sustainability initiatives and upcoming packaging regulations Develop risk assessments and timetables $80,000 - $110,000 a year The base salary range for this role is listed above.
