p>Ability to: learn the operation of EMS and other equipment; perform strenuous physical tasks under adverse environmental conditions; act effectively in emergency and stressful situations; follow verbal and written instructions; communicate effectively, verbally and in writing; understand and carry out written and oral instructions; establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments, and the public; operate computers for data entry. In the performance of the job duties, will work in atmospheres that are an immediate danger to life and health; may work near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places, and with explosives, and may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; vibration; risk of electrocution, extreme heat or cold; chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or explosive hazards.
