You monitor supply temperatures, provide labor support, and ensure that equipment and vehicles are properly maintained. You're a self-starter who works independently but also communicates effectively with your team. About the PositionThe Parking Guide is responsible for the enforcement of parking regulations at Western Washington University in accordance with Washington Administrative Code 516. Parking Guides are committed to providing services and resources to the Western community by helping people access the campus in alignment with the departmental values of Student Success, Sustainability, Transparency, and Respect. Utilizing active community patrolling, the Parking Guide works independently to educate Western's parking community and enforce Western's parking regulations. They provide customer service by actively listening to and answering questions while in the field. Parking Guides provide services to assist members of Western's parking community through the Motorist Assistance Program. Additional duties include working and supporting campus events and providing administrative support to the department.

This is a project-employment position ending no later than June 1, 2027.

Required Qualifications

+ High school diploma

+ Demonstrate a positive attitude and the ability to provide constructive and effective customer service interactions. Must have prior customer service experience.

+ Demonstrate the ability to manage confrontational situations with professionalism and self-discipline, while respecting the rights and dignity of others.
