Overview:
Parking Lot Attendant is an on-call, per event employee who assists in direction of customers in and around the Iowa Events Center parking lots during events. This position is responsible for handling a high volume of cash and credit transactions in a responsible manner. This employee must have excellent attendance to ensure the success of the Parking Department during events held at the Iowa Events Center. This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00.  For Part-Time roles: Benefits: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Greet and direct customers entering parking lots </li><li>Communicate parking information to the public</li><li>Sell parking tickets </li><li>Accept cash or credit payment. Count back correct change as needed</li><li>Use credit machine with personal identification number and building codes</li><li>Work in a variety of parking locations and positions </li><li>Document all cars going through booth as assigned</li><li>Balance cash drawer at the end of shift as assigned</li><li>Park cars quickly and efficiently </li><li>Monitor lot during events, immediately contacting supervisor as issues arise</li><li>Provide positive and friendly experience to all customers </li><li>Set up A-frame signs, parking cones, and reserved parking signs </li><li>Identify and problem solve parking issues; prevent when possible </li><li>Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred</li><li>Ability to work both independently and as part of team</li><li>Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment </li><li>Must have the ability to work flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends and holidays.</li><li>Ability to communicate clearly in the English language and use a company radio to communicate</li><li>Must be comfortable working with the public</li><li>Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills</li></ul>

Overview:
The Parking Ambassador is generally responsible for the successful guest parking experience, including directing traffic, managing pedestrian traffic at intersections, and validating donor parking passes. This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00 to $17.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching This position will remain open until August 21, 2026.

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Match the guest parking pass and provide real-time guidance to the parking location</li><li>Direct vehicles on campus roadways and through parking lots and to parking stalls.</li><li>Conduct routine vehicle inventory counts before and during events. </li><li>Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests and employees promptly and in a friendly manner.</li><li>May perform other duties to ensure productive parking operations, including moving equipment, including traffic cones, barrels, delineators, movable signage, and barricades, to ensure efficient operations.</li><li>Follow and comply with safety regulations and standards.</li><li>Provide basic parking lot upkeep, including sweeping and light litter removal.</li><li>Perform other duties as needed to ensure productive operations, quality service, and customer satisfaction.</li></ul>

Qualifications:
<ul><li>High school education or equivalent. </li><li>Basic arithmetic skills.</li><li>Must have one (1) year of previous experience. </li><li>Core customer communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work effectively as a team player. </li><li>Must have flexibility to work shifts on weekdays, weekday evenings, weekends, early mornings, and late nights and outdoors in all weather conditions.</li><li>Experience working in the customer service industry is a plus.</li></ul>
