Parking Meter Technician I Location: Fort Worth, Texas | OnsiteCompensation & Schedule• Pay rate: $19.00/hour • Schedule: Full-time, standard city work schedule; on-call or varied hours as assigned• Start date: 2/4/26Role Impact The Parking Meter Technician I supports the City’s parking operations by ensuring parking meters and pay stations are installed, maintained, and operating reliably. This role directly impacts revenue collection, regulatory compliance, and public satisfaction by resolving equipment issues and assisting citizens in the field. Success is defined by timely repairs, accurate collections, and dependable service delivery.LI-TRADES Key Duties • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair parking meters and pay station equipment, including defective component replacement • Collect, log, prepare, and transport parking meter revenue and complete required documentation and audits • Respond to service calls, system alerts, and citizen or employee reports regarding parking equipment malfunctions • Use software applications to monitor, program, document, and close work orders and service activities • Assist with parking enforcement support tasks, inspections, installations, relocations, and special projects as assignedMinimum Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • Valid driver’s license with ability to operate a City vehicle • Basic mechanical or electrical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot equipment issues • Ability to perform field work independently and interact professionally with the publicEquipment & Work Environment • Hand tools and diagnostic equipment for meter and pay station repair • Mobile devices and software applications for work order management • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions • Exposure to traffic areas and public right-of-way environments • City vehicles for transportation between work sitesPreferred Skills • Experience with electronic payment systems, meters, or kiosks • Familiarity with basic data entry, inventory tracking, or asset management systems • Customer service experience in a field-based or public-facing roleLegal Notice By applying for this job, you agree to receive calls, AI-generated calls, text messages, or emails from CornerStone and its affiliates, and contracted partners. We stripe parking lots, airports, warehouses, and more. Responsibilities<ul><li>Properly load and unload materials from trucks and trailers by hand and forklift</li><li>Operate large and small vehicles</li><li>Effectively Operate the following Vehicles/Equipment: hand machines, forklift, hand grinder, 3M hand-tape machine, 3M adhesive applicator and hand-roller tamper cart.</li><li>Install Preformed Thermo tape.</li><li>Complete DVIRs and Daily Logs correctly for CDL Drivers</li><li>Follow all Safety Policies and Procedures All other duties as assigned</li></ul>Working Conditions<ul><li>Regularly required to stand/walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop; and kneel, crouch or crawl</li><li>Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds</li><li>Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds</li><li>Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; moving equipment and machinery parts; moving traffic, and fumes and airborne particles</li><li>Noise level of the work environment is usually moderate/loud</li></ul>Requirements<ul><li>Able to obtain airport security clearance</li><li>Valid Driver's License and Clean MVR</li><li>Able to pass urine drug analysis</li><li>Able to obtain a DOT Medical Card</li></ul>Travel<ul><li>Occasional travel is required, per diem included</li></ul>Preferred<ul><li>CDL License Holder</li><li>TCS Certification Obtain and keep TCS certificate</li><li>Flagger Certification Obtain and keep Flagger certificate</li><li>Forklift Certification Certified to operate Forklift</li></ul>
